|As a child, I loved engaging in all sorts of creative activities, especially crafts and needlework. Pursuing this same desire for creative expression, I decided in 2008 to take watercolour classes, which I did for a year with three different teachers. A new job having forced me to set painting aside for seven years, I finally returned to this pastime in 2018, but with acrylic as my new medium and Bev Wight as my teacher. After two years, I have turned once more to watercolour, while continuing with acrylics.
The subjects of my paintings are varied. My love of nature and flowers are evident in many of my works. I also like abstracts, which I endeavor to explore using different techniques. But what comes through consistently in my work is the use of joyful colours and a simplicity of interpretation.
