The Artists

  Born in Peru, Maria Soledad Kruger-Hernandez was raised and educated in Lima. She came to Canada in 1969 to work as a computer programmer. She marreid in 1971 and is the mother of two grown children.


Soledad’s talents are varied. As a pianist she has performed successfully in several piano recitals. She is currently a member of the Quebec Music Teachers Association and she usually has several students.


Soledad has been painting for 22 years. She has studied drawing and oil painting with Athos Samuelli, oil painting with Lorie Leikus and life drawing with Claudine Asher.


Oil is the medium that best allows her to express herself at this point in her development. Her favorite subjects are still life, landscape and human figure.


Her works have been included in many exhibitions in and around Montreal.
