The Artists

Subjects for my paintings are inspired by travel, memories and dreams. I feel closest to the movements of abstract expressionism and something which could be called figurative fauvism but I like to travel in my exploration of styles and subjects as well.

I have studied painting at the Visual Arts Center in Westmount. I have also taken etching at the Atelier Circulaire.

I think painting is a two way adventure; one that leads an artist to discovering his/her deepest truths and another, which is a meeting and dance with the substance of paint. I want both of these to be shown on the canvas: sincerity and the thrill of this encounter.
