The Artists

Terri McKeown is a self-taught artist. Her imagination fuels her creative expression, turning a blank canvas into captivating visuals. Terri’s lifelong fascination with the ebb and flow of water, particularly the ocean, is often her preferred subject. “Once I can hear and feel the motion of the waves, I know I’m done.”

Terri uses realist form to paint genuine landscapes and experiments with both abstract and semi-abstract work. Inspired by her love of the sea, the sky, and other mental snapshots of natural beauty, her paintings evoke the pristine tranquility of places she’s visited and the special memories that inspire her work.

When creating her works of (he)art, her favourite colour has always been: “All of them!” Working primarily with acrylic, she occasionally adds other textured mediums to her compositions.

Her paintings can be found in private collections in Canada and the United States. As well she has completed a commissioned “Croque-Livres” book house for the City of Beaconsfield.

“Painting is like breathing. It comes from within. I feel blessed every day to be able to find my peace from a paintbrush.” – Terri
